Three delicious Smoothie ideas – perfect for the on-the-Go Mama!

Smoothies are a great breakfast or snack option and are a great energy source to be enjoyed at home or taken on-the-Go!  We are loving these delicious and nutritious smoothie ideas from the fabulous Jess at Health and Wellbeing Discovery.  Quick, easy, healthy and filling – what more could a Mama ask for?!

 

 

Tips:

-Use frozen bananas and blueberries for a thicker texture.

-To add texture, sprinkle coconut and a few crushed walnuts on top to give it some crunch.

1. Pick your smoothie flavour of choice from the below options and mix all the listed ingredients in a blender.

2. Add either 1/2 cup of light blue milk or an alternative milk and cover the rest of the ingredients with water.

 

 

NUT BUSTER

1 frozen banana

2 dates or prunes

Handful of spinach

1 tsp of cinnamon

1 tsp of shredded or desiccated coconut

1 tsp of cocoa nibs

1 Tbsp of chia seeds

1 heaped Tbsp of peanut butter

 

 

BERRY BLISSFUL

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup of blueberries

Handful of spinach

1/4 cup Greek or coconut yoghurt

1 tsp of cinnamon

1 Tbsp of chia seeds

 

 

 OATY COCONUT

1 frozen banana

Handful of spinach

1/4 cup of coconut yoghurt

2 dates or prunes

2 Tbsp oats
